THSTI Recruitment 2021: The Department of Biotechnology’s (DBT) flagship initiative, ‘SiB,’ has resulted in the creation of more than 35 MedTech products and 20 businesses. The Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, has launched ‘SiB’ at the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI).
The Indian Institute of Technology-Madras (IITM), Christian Medical College Vellore, PGI-Chandigarh, and Venture Centre-Pune are collaborating on this fellowship program at THSTI. This initiative focuses on medical technology innovation in order to build inexpensive and accessible medical diagnostic tools. The Fellowship’s purpose is to develop a pool of social and scientific innovators in the field of Bio-design and to prepare them to become successful entrepreneurs. The fellows will be exposed to all areas of in vitro diagnostics development, validation, marketing, and usage. The fellowship will last for a year and a half (12 months).
